In Koumos we have a guided tour that starts at our stone cellar and ends up at the most privileged position of our estate. You will taste 6 different varieties of Cretan wines under the guidance of an experienced sommelier who will take you on a journey of flavors and history based on wine.     Tie on your apron and get ready for a hands-on cooking class with our chef and learn the art of local cuisine. Start off preparing first courses such as Greek Salad, Tzatziki, Meatballs, Cretan Dakos and a main course in the wood oven. Three hours later (approximately) of preparation and cooking, you will enjoy the creations you made yourselves paired with a glass of local wine.     Nowadays wooden looms can be found only in a few houses in remote areas and folk art museums. In Koumos we have set up the loom and we use our knowledge in order to make a unique interactive experience for you. You will have the opportunity to learn about the most ancient art of weaving and work on the traditional wooden loom. Remember, we are not talking about skills. We are talking about the love for the art itself and admiration towards the beauty of a handmade artifact.

    Baking bread all by yourself is a labour of love. Get hands on with our chef, help him to light the wood oven and learn how to work the dough.Patience technique is needed, but the reward of a warm bread coming out from the oven, feels so great. Finally, enjoy a hearty Cretan breakfast with bread straight from the oven, we guarantee, you can not get more Crete than that.
